Grow Your Own Ryan Gainey Bouquet: Tiger Lilies and Crocosmia
Ryan Gainey, the celebrated Atlanta-area garden designer, has a special affection for heirloom flowers, including many of our bulbs. A while ago he sent us photos (by his friend David Schilling) of a bouquet he’d made with tiger lilies — one of the most popular of all pass-along plants — combined with yellow ‘George Davison’ crocosmia, antique montbretia (also a crocosmia), and the berried stalks of Arum italicum. Take a look here, and if you like what you see we’d be glad to send you everything you need to recreate it at home — except, unfortunately, for the Arum and the jug. (And please note, if you do order, that tiger lilies are fall-shipped while the two crocosmias are spring-shipped, which means you won’t be able to combine them in a single order. Sorry!)
